The Adarsha Academy is a kindergarten through 8th grade rural private school that provides full-time instruction to 50 children from seven villages in the vicinity of the Krishnarajasagara (KRS) Dam.
The school grounds are situated on an outcrop overlooking the KRS reservoir, which is a vast and important fixture of the region’s agricultural infrastructure. More than that, however, it serves as a tranquil backdrop for learning and contemplative reflection.
Here, students follow a state-approved Kannada-medium curriculum, while those in grades 6 through 8 also receive instruction in English.
Since 2010 the Adarsha Academy has been serving families in the region.
Mission: Provide excellent primary school instruction for rural students
